Carousel Consignment Ltd. Dear Ken: I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the ASTRIX program that I purchased in November. We found it very easy to transfer from our existing program and essentially were up and running from day one. We are now totally operating from ASTRIX. The program has cut down my inventory time by at least 50% and the potential for error is slim. My staff and I find it very user friendly. Some of the features I find very useful include the unsold items on the client's card. This allows you to print a copy of the client's items that have not sold. Once the items are found it is simple to remove them from the card either by returning them or sending them on to charity. Payouts are now a snap - no chance of paying a client more than once. A mistake that occurred several times on my old program. The documentation backs up all transactions. Clients also like to know how much money they have made over time. After our discussions about changes and improvements, I am looking forward to the changes that will allow you to look up items missing their tags as well as one that will allow me to make a partial payment at the time of sale without entering a separate charge to the account. In retrospect, I often wonder why I took so much time to look into the program after I first heard about it. The time and energy saved has made it worth every penny not to mention that I seem to have a few less gray hairs. Today I had yet another visitor to my store who is planning to set up a consignment store. A computer buff, she had planned to create her own program using a database. Play 'n' Wear Dear Ken, We are all delighted with the ASTRIX programme! It is very "user friendly" and so far we have not had to deal with any unmanageable problems! Our customers are very impressed with the whole operation and can't think why we did not "computerise" years ago!
